Proud Momma

Angel from the Moving Up Ceremony committee asked me if Miss B would speak a few words of thank you to Ms. Kupcik during the ceremony. In knowing her well, I already knew the answer. But still deferred to Ms. B. herself that obviously said she would do it.

When she came home after the rehearsal, I asked her if she knew what she was going to say. I wanted to make sure it was all proper. She said she knew and told me. Her mini-speech was pretty decent. The day of the Moving Up ceremony while we were driving to the ceremony, I asked her again just to make sure and she again with determination told me what she was going to say.

When the time of the ceremony came, she was there ready to speak with no hesitation, no memorized line and all the confidence in the world. Nothing could make me prouder. My own baby girl! I was in tears... as usual...
